The story unfolds like this: it begins with Jaswant Singh Khalra setting out to find a missing relative. However, this is not his problem alone; the entire Punjab is awash in a river of blood. No one knows where the blood-soaked bodies ended up. If you watch the film, you will notice that 90% of the scenes are shot in darkness. The movie depicts the conflict between the police and militants; the question of who truly owned Punjab was being decided by the gun a situation ruthlessly exploited by monsters hiding behind police uniforms.
The twist in the film comes when Jaswant Singh Khalra a man who searches for others suddenly goes missing himself. Did he simply vanish, or was he made to disappear? The answer is both dangerous and terrifying; indeed, it is precisely for this reason that the Censor Board held back the film’s release for three years.
