Story of Lanterns (2029)
A strong story is what makes any show or movie compelling. The narrative of this show centers on a town where a massive shooting incident takes place. During a football match, several people are killed. While one of the perpetrators is captured, the others manage to escape; now, the ‘Lanterns’ must uncover who was behind it all. Questions arise regarding exactly who carried out the shooting, as the police view the incident from one perspective, while our hero, Hal Jordan, and his protégé, John Stewart, see it differently. Everyone involved in the investigation is interpreting the events through their own unique lens. It wouldn’t be right to reveal exactly what everyone is thinking that would be a spoiler so I suggest you simply watch the show and enjoy it yourself. There is just one catch: only one episode is available to watch right now. We will have to wait quite a while for the remaining seven episodes, as they are scheduled to be released on a weekly basis.
Judging by the story, I can confidently say that this show is going to be excellent; however, everyone should keep in mind that only one episode has been released so far. That single episode confirms that there has been no compromise on production quality it is top-notch. One thing is clear: you can consider watching this show even if you aren’t familiar with the “Lantern” lore. For instance, even if you haven’t seen the Green Lantern (2011) movie starring Ryan Reynolds or even if you know nothing about the superhero himself you can still watch and enjoy this show.

Show highlights
I didn’t necessarily want to rate just the first episode, but I’m doing it anyway because it’s important; I plan to review and rate every upcoming episode because this show promises to be fantastic. The superhero sequences, production quality, technical aspects, cinematography, and the actors’ performances and chemistry are all excellent. I particularly loved the chemistry between Hal Jordan and John Stewart it feels almost like a father-son dynamic. You’ll understand exactly what I mean once you watch the episode.

I can confidently say that Lanterns (2026) is a fantastic show for me. I really enjoyed the first episode, and since superhero, mystery, and crime drama are among my favorite genres, I am fully invested in watching this series. I give it a rating of 4.5/5.
